Undress Melbourne is a sustainable fashion event that educates, inspires and promotes an ethical fashion industry. 

We are a multifaceted event that promotes a diverse, progressive and sustainable fashion industry.

Be inspired by bleeding-edge speakers, ethical fashion runway shows and form partnerships with people leading change from fashion, film, music and design industries.

Day 1 | 22nd November, 2019


Conference: 9am - 5pm

Networking Function: 5pm - 7pm

Where: An airplane hanger with 12-metre ceilings in Coburg, Melbourne.

A full-day conference. Undress Your Mind explores the initiatives coming out of the Australian Creative Industries that align with the Sustainable Development Goals. We delve into the sustainability behind fashion labels, solar power in the music industry, gender equality in the film industry, diversity and inclusion in design practice, and many more. We’re sparking unlikely conversations for change.


Day 2 | 23rd november, 2019


When: 7pm - 10pm

Where: A repurposed textile factory in Coburg, Melbourne.

We’re here to inspire people to choose sustainable fashion. We design a spectacular runway set that takes people into a dream-like world showing that sustainability is the only way to ensure a future for fashion. Designers announced 1st of October.


day 3 | 24th November, 2019


When: 12pm - 6pm

Where: An airplane hanger with 12-metre ceilings in Coburg, Melbourne.

This is our retail and entertainment day. Showroom offers ethical shopping, live music, food trucks, slam poets and panel discussions. Art Lovers Australia will have an art exhibition on and we have a number of sponsors running workshops and talks.

Dominique Drakeford

Dominique works at the intersections of sustainability and style to heal our relationship to the earth and spark social change. Having received a Master’s Degree from NYU in Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Fashion, she has worked with a myriad of companies to further understand systems-based thinking for a regenerative future. Dominique is the chief curator of Melanin and Sustainable Style, a blog platform discussing the worldly intersection of people of colour and indigenous cultures in sustainable fashion lifestyles.


Maxine BÉdat

Founder and director of The New Standard Institute, which uses a systems approach to address environmental and social challenges within the $2.5 trillion apparel industry. Maxine has been recognized by Oprah in her Super Soul 100, for leaders elevating humanity and serves as an ambassador for Rainforest Alliance. She has spoken at some of the world’s leading conferences, including the WWD Apparel/Retail CEO Summit, and has been regularly featured as an expert by Bloomberg, Forbes, Business of Fashion, CNN and the Huffington Post.


Natalie Isaacs

Founder and CEO of 1 Million Women, a movement of 880,000 women (and counting) who are fighting the climate crisis by changing the way they live. A former cosmetics manufacturer, Natalie realised that individual action is a powerful path to solving the climate crisis. Leaving behind the overpackaged world of skin and beauty care, she is now a pioneer in the gender and climate change arena in Australia. Her mission is to be a global organisation inspiring women all over the world.
