Wow we did it for another year! After months and months of planning from the Undress Brisbane team, we pulled off a night of fun, fashion and dancing… all in the name of sustainability!
The evening went down at the Chinatown carpark in Fortitude Valley. We had over 500 lovely guests attend, which now makes us now the largest sustainable fashion event in the southern hemisphere! We even made the ABC news...
We had nearly 120 looks to get through on the night so the backstage team did a great job!
Here's a wrap-up video by our videographer, Michael Geddes.
The wonderful guys from Steamed provided fresh hand-made dumplings, delicious, even with a vegan option. Beverages was catered for by X&Y Bar, which included a tailor-made lavender cocktail, the Happy Lavender. We also had the lovely Seamus Evans from Toasted TV as the evening's host.
Ryan, our creative genius, created a map of the event and was also behind the Rooms Without Walls installations. He created 4 rooms out of recycled materials; wood, cardboard, plastic and fabric. This was a prime example of how sustainability can be integrated into many areas of our lives, not just fashion. We also had some sustainable furniture displays by Reverse Garbage and QUT interior design students.
We would like to thank our sponsors: Wilson Parking, Shout Graphics, Kylie’s Professional, Backwoods Original, Lyla Clare, Lightsounds, Flex Removals, Salka Photography, Sass Management, Peppermint Magazine and Reverse Garbage. We couldn't have done it without you!
